This Samurai Hawaiian shirt is inspired by the Summer Siege of Osaka, a historic battle that took place at Osaka Castle in 1615. This decisive clash between the Toyotomi family, who had Osaka Castle as their home base, and the Tokugawa shoguns of Edo (now Tokyo), resulted in a victory for the Tokugawa family and marked the beginning of the Edo period, which lasted for 300 years. The graphics for this shirt are based on a folding screen painting that captures the fierceness of the battle and the tragedy of the war.
The shirt is crafted from one-washed 100% cotton fabric and features an open collar style. It is finished with natural wood buttons and a single top loop for full, hem-to-collar buttoning. It runs smaller in size compared to your regular American size. Typically, if you wear a size M in American shirts, you will need to select a size L in this. However, individual body types can vary, so, as always, we recommend consulting our size chart for the perfect fit.
Samurai jeans have become a legend in the Japanese denim scene. Created in Osaka by Toru Nogami in 1997, Samurai represents the perfection of Japanese tradition, with its iconography of Sengoku-era Samurais and the search for the best and nothing but the best through materials, artisan garment-making techniques and unique detailing.
